BRIGHTON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — LN-Gaiety Holdings, Live Nations' UK arm has agreed to the conditions laid down by the Competition Commission to divest itself of Hammersmith Apollo and The Forum in order to complete its purchase of a stake in Academy Music Group.
The Competition Commission had thrown up a roadblock to the deal in August after the matter was referred to them by the Office of Fair Trade.
According to Paul Latham, president of LN-Gaiety, a number of the organizations which lodged protest about the deal initially are now expressing an interest in the venues in question.
Both LN-Gaiety and AMG have agreed this month to the undertakings laid out by the commission and at this point, it looks like the deal will continue – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
