SÃO PAULO, Brazil (CelebrityAccess) — South American entertainment giant Time For Fun has announced that they have appointed Luiz Oscar Niemeyer as head of entertainment, with oversight of operations in Argentina, Chile and Peru, as well as Brazil.
Niemeyer joined Time For Fun in 2016 and will be replacing Alexandre Faria wh is leaving the company to pursue new opportunities.
Niemeyer is a veteran promoter and has been responsible for some of the biggest live shows in Brazilian history, including the Hollywood Rock festival from 1988 to 1993; Paul McCartney’s concert at the Maracanã Stadium in 1990, which attracted 184,000 people; and The Rolling Stones’ historic performance to over 1.5 million people on Copacabana beach in 2006.
Time For Fun is one of the leading promoters in South America and oversees numerous tours through the region, as well as promotion for the Brazilian editions of Lollapalooza and Electric Daisy Carnival festivals.
