Man Dies At Pumpkins Concert

VANCOUVER (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — A 20-year-old man has died after injuries sustained in the mosh-pit at a Smashing Pumpkins concert in Vancouver.

According to the Canadian press, the man was dragged out of the crowd, unconscious, during the show at the PNE Forum on Monday. Venue security and first aid staff attempted to determine why he was unconscious and had the man transported to St. Paul's Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

According to the Canadian Press, police have determined that "determined there wasn't any foul play or suspicious circumstances involved," and are currently investigating the death as a crowd surfing or mosh-pit mishap. An official cause of death, however, is pending on the pathologist and toxicologists reports.

PNE Spokeswoman, Laura Ballance told the Canadian Press that crowd surfing is strongly discouraged at PNE. "We have a three-strikes, you're out policy here, where if you're caught three times surfing, you're evicted from the event." she said, but noted that "But I mean these are adults, and they're going to do what they're going to do. We do our best to discourage it but ultimately you can't prevent it altogether." – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
