LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Marion "Suge" Knight and Katt Williams have been charged with felony robbery after allegedly stealing a camera from a photographer outside of a Los Angeles studio, the L.A. County District Attorney's Office said.
Knight, the founder of the now defunct Death Row Records and Williams were arrested on Nov. 5th. Williams was already legal trouble over a previous assault charge and Knight is still recovering after being shot multiple times at at Chris Brown's MTV VMAs party in August.
Knight, 49, faces up to 30 years in prison due to previous a conviction of assault with a deadly weapon. Williams faces up to seven years in prison if convicted, and is scheduled to be arraigned in the case on December 24.
Knight plead not guilty during his first court appearance in the case on Nov. 5th, stating that after he asked a photographer to delete photos of Knight and his son, she left the scene. Knight admits to pursuing the photographer, but claims he did not take the camera.
“I didn’t take her camera,” Knight said, according to CNN. “So, the fact that I didn’t take her camera—But I’m saying don’t say you’re gonna erase something and then take off running and think somebody’s not gonna chase you. So, they do chase you. Then they do get the camera back. You’re supposed to erase it. Now you wanna fight now. So, now it’s insult to injury. And then to top things off, you’re gonna be the victim? I don’t know how you’re gonna pull all three things off.” – Staff Writers
