McGee Splits From Creation Management, To Form Own Company


LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Alan McGee, the former manager of Oasis has announced that he has split with his partner Stephen King, and will found a new company. King and McGee were partners in the fiercly indie label Poptones and Creation Management. Neither firm is expected to remain a going concern and the both websites are appear to be offline already.

McGee, who reps The Dirty Pretty Things and The Charlatans among others has been a major figure in the UK music scene since his arrival in the early 1980s when he made a name for himself repping the Jesus & Mary Chain. McGee also founded the influential Creation Records, which nurtured the careers of Primal Scream, My Bloody Valentine, Teenage Fanclub and Oasis.

McGee is also active in the highly-competitive London club scene, being the man behind the popular Death Disco club nights which features live music as well as DJs. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
