MSG Execs Fired In Ticket Resale Scandal

NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Madison Square Garden has reportedly fired approximately six sales executives, as well as a senior executive in ticket sales and corporate hospitality after they were implicated in a ticket resale scandal.

According to the New York Post, a source at MSG said that the executives were discharged after an internal investigation discovered that they had been reselling tickets to Knicks and Rangers games at the Garden for a profit.

“It was uncovered through an internal investigation that a small handful of employees were breaking company policies and, as a result, they were relieved of their responsibilities,” an MSG spokesman said in a statement to The Post.

“As this is an employee matter, MSG will have no additional comment.”

Among the released employees was Adam Campbell, a senior vice president of ticket sales and corporate hospitality, one source told The Post. The source noted to The Post that while Campbell may not have been directly involved in the illicit sales, he should have had better control of his staff.
