MUNICH, Germany (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — MTV’s annual Europe Music Awards is heading to Germany, to take place November 1st at the OlympiaHalle Arena in Munich. It will be the third time MTV’s ceremony has been held in Germany.
Sony Ericsson will extend its two-year alliance with this year’s event, which, according to MTV EMAs executive producer Richard Godfrey, will introduce “many new elements” and build on last year’s multi-screen experience.
The multi-purpose OlympaHalle venue was constructed in the early 1970s to host the gymnastics and handball competitions at the 1972 Olympic Games. Upcoming concerts at the facility include Beyonce, Pearl Jam and Aerosmith. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
