New Album, World Tour For Depeche Mode

LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — New Wave synth pop legends Depeche Mode have announced an upcoming international tour that will see the band performing across Europe.

The first leg of the Global Spirit Tour starts at Stockholm's Friends Arena on May 5, 2017 and ends July 23 with a final stadium show in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Following the European tour dates in Summer 2017, the Global Spirit Tour will continue with shows in North and South America.

The Global Spirit Tour will support the band's forthcoming studio album Spirit, due to be released in Spring 2017. Spirit is being produced by James Ford and will be released worldwide on Columbia Records. The band's last album, 2013's Delta Machine debuted at number two on the UK Albums Chart, and was the sixteenth Depeche Mode album to break the top ten. The album entered the Billboard 200 at #6 in the U.S.

A portion of the proceeds from the tour will go to support the group's charity partnership with Swiss watch maker Hublot, raising money and awareness for Charity: Water toward their mission of providing safe drinking water to people without.
