(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The North By Northeast Music & Film Festival and Conference (NXNE) in Toronto, Canada’s biggest music festival of its kind, has started accepting artist and band showcase submission packages for performance slots at NXNE 2005, held June 9-11.
Deadline for submissions is January 14, but applicants can save 33% on the processing fee by submitting before December 31, 2004.
All Canadian entries are automatically eligible to win one of three contests that NXNE hosts:
The Edge 102 New Rock Search Showcase 2005
The Galaxie Rising Stars Award (winner nets a cash prize of $3,000)
The NXNE Fan Choice Award sponsored by Universal Music Canada.
