BERLIN (CelebrityAccess) — Organizers for Lollapalooza Berlin are searching for a new venue for the festival for the next few years due to refugees being housed at the former Tempelhof Airport, where the festival was held in 2015.
According to the Berlin Courier, the festival will still take place in Berlin on the previously announced weekend of September 10 & 11.
Organizers told The Courier that they are in the process of evaluating several alternative locations for the festival and noted the cooperation of city officials in the process.
Since December, the former site of the Tempelhof Airport has been repurposed to house some of the millions of refugees displaced by conflict in North Africa and the Middle East. – Staff Writers
