Troutdale, OR (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) – Recent reports of noise problems at McMenamins Edgefield in Troutdale, OR, approximately 15 miles outside of Portland, seem to be overblown.
A venue staffer told CelebrityAccess that only a couple of noise incidents were what sparked the neighborhood meeting. Mike McMenamin, owner of the Edgefield Theatre quickly blew out what did not seem to be any real fire after attending the meeting on behalf of his venue.
B.B. King will be closing Edgefield tonight, September 13. A surprise last minute concert last month by Stevie Wonder was also a coup for the 5,000 person rural Amphitheatre. Edgefield is looking forward to as successful a summer in 2008 as it has seen the last three summers since its inception.
There were minimal noise disturbances during certain sound checks in the afternoon but this will be been taken care of and not ensue in the future.
"I know we can work it out with McMenamins and the neighbors," an Edgefield neighbor confessed. "For the most part, if we overcome some problems, I think things will simmer down and everyone will be really pleased with it." – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
