COOLANGATTA, Queensland (CelebrityAccess) — The Hangout Music Festival may be launching an expansion of the brand in Australia.
If their plans come to fruition, the festival would feature three stages of music at a location in Coolangatta along Australia's Gold Coast, with a date slated for mid-November.
According to Australian newspaper the Courier Mail, promoter Paul Dainty is behind the push, seeking to fill the void left by the collapse of the Big Day Out festival.
Coolangatta Mayor Tom Tate indicated to the newspaper that he would be interested in bringing the festival to town and has proposed inviting Dainty to address the City Council about the event.
“In our cultural city we should look towards embracing (events like this) where we can,” he said. – Staff Writers
