PONTIAC, MI (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — A severe thunderstorm damaged the roof of 6,000-seat pavilion at Pontiac's Phoenix Plaza Amphitheater, leading to scheduling snafus at the shed.
According to the Oakland Press, the storm damaged the white canopy, casting doubt over the ability of the Amphitheater to host planned graduation ceremonies for a local school. Officials are currently evaluating the damage and awaiting an estimate on the time to see the roof repaired.
"The contractor will have to spread the fabric to see if there is any additional damage." J. Steven Johnston a lawyer representing the city told the Oakland Press.
