Razorlight Reschedules Pulled UK Tourdates

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) – British rock group Razorlight were forced to cancel a run of UK shows after lead singer Johnny Borrell fell ill after a show in the Los Angeles.

The band was forced to cancel their final sold-out US gig at Los Angeles’ El Rey Theatre and 6 shows across the UK. Johnny was diagnosed with a laryngitis type infection, administered anti-inflammatories and banned from singing for at least two weeks. He returned to London where he was ordered to rest and refrain from talking.

The band quickly responded by replacing the tourdates, and issuing multiple apologies to their disappointed fans. The rescheduled dates are:

Manchester Apollo
March 13, replacing February 4
March 14, replacing February 5

Glasgow Academy
March 16, replacing February 6
March 17, replacing February 7

London Alexandra Palace
March 23, replacing February 11
March 24, replacing February 12

A statement on the band’s website read: “While Johnny is frustrated by his enforced silence he is determined to recover his vocal chords as fast as he can and promises to make the re-scheduled shows the most memorable rock'n'roll nights of the year.”
