SYDNEY, NSW (CelebrityAccess) — Samsung's Australia unit has announced the extension and expansion of their sponsorship arrangement with the iconic Sydney Opera House.
The extension of the Opera House’s first ever Principal Partnership will see Samsung play an expanded role in the Opera House’s Decade of Renewal, a project launched for the venue's 40th anniversary to modernize the venue.
As a part of the agreement, Samsung will work on a virtual reality experience for the Opera House which will let visitors ascend the 'sails' of the venue via a 360-degree video presented in virtual reality. The Climbing the Sails VR experience will bein a new space in the Sydney Opera House Box Office Foyer, due to open later this year.
The extension of Samsung’s partnership comes as the NSW Government today announced that the upcoming State Budget will deliver the first $12 million of the $202 million committed to the first stage of the Opera House’s refurbishmnt.
