Scott Seviour Appointed SVP, Artist Development, RCA Music Group


NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Scott Seviour has been named Senior Vice President, Artist Development, RCA Music Group. Seviour previously held the title of Senior Vice President, Marketing, RCA Music Group. With this promotion, Seviour will be head of artist development for the RCA Music Group and consult on talent across the label’s roster while continuing to implement and manage marketing campaigns for a number of multi-platinum and platinum artists. Seviour will continue to report to Tom Corson, Executive Vice President/General Manager, RCA Music Group and will remain in the company’s New York headquarters.

In 2001, Seviour began his tenure at the company when he joined J Records upon its inception. Over the past eight years he has developed, managed and executed major marketing campaigns for a host of artists including Christina Aguilera, Rod Stewart, Sarah McLachlan, Barry Manilow, Carrie Underwood, Luther Vandross, Fantasia, Aretha Franklin and Annie Lennox among others, as well as new superstars including Jennifer Hudson and Leona Lewis.

Seviour came to J Records from the ABC Television Network and Good Morning America where he served as an Entertainment Producer for the show, booking and facilitating all film, television and theater segments, guest appearances and musical performances. In addition, he worked as a Senior Producer for many special broadcast events for GMA including the Emmys, Oscars, and the Golden Globes.

Prior to his stint at ABC, Seviour worked for The Walt Disney Company as Director, Talent Development & Music Programming for the Disney Channel. Previously, he was Manager, Talent Relations for Nickelodeon, part of MTV Networks.

A graduate of Lake Forest College, Scott Seviour holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies.
