AUCKLAND (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Simon and Garfunkel have announced that they are planning to reunite for a concert tour of Australia, New Zealand and maybe more this summer.
The tour, promoted by Michael Chugg, will kick off in New Zealand befre heading to Australia.
"We're the first and only territory in the world that Simon and Garfunkel have confirmed concerts for," said Michael Chugg. "It's been 25 years since they've been here and I'd put money on the table this will likely be the last time for us with these two legends together."
A reunion tour by the two singer-songwriters isn't exactly a surprise and the rumormill was abuzz since they duo reunited for a surprise concert last February at New York's Beacon Theatre. This will mark the first tour by Simon and Garfunkel since their successful 2004 outing.
While only the Oz and New Zealand dates have been announced, we're going to venture that additional dates may be on the horizon. Tickets go on-sale April 17 in Australia, available from Ticketek and Ticketmaster in New Zealand.
