The Jazz Journalists Association (JJA) Jazz Awards 2003, the seventh annual presentation of honors to jazz musicians and their supporters, has listed six producers/promoters as Jazz Producer of the Year: Andre Menard (Festival International de Jazz de Montreal), George Wein (Festival Productions), Patricia Nicholson Parker (Vision Fest, a New York event), Randall Kline (SFJazz), Tim Jackson (Monterey Jazz Festival) and Todd Barkan and Wynton Marsalis (Jazz@Lincoln Center). The awards will be handed out June 17 at B.B. King's Blues Club and Grill in New York, in benefit of the Musicians Emergency Fund of the Jazz Foundation of America (JFA).
