BEAUMONT, TX (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — SMG has announced that Charlie Gardner has been named General Manager of Ford Park in Beaumont, Texas, where he will oversee the 16,000-seat arena amphitheater and 9,000-seat arena.
Gardner previously served as General Manager of the Five Flags Civic Center in Dubuque, Iowa. He will start his new position at Ford Park on July 10th.
While at Five Flags, Gardner was successful in decreasing the facility's operating deficit, increasing the level of event activity and oversaw a $3 million dollar renovation of the 5,000-seat arena, meeting rooms, an 800-seat performing arts theater, and concessions facilities. His 10 years of experience in the public assembly facility management industry includes serving as Director of Event Services at Ford Park, Event Manager at the Houston Astrodome and as a Sales Executive for the Houston Astros.
