(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Effective May 12, the Sydney SuperDome will be called Acer Arena under a multimillion naming rights deal with Acer Computer Australia.
“This is a first for our industry and something that we are proud to be leading,” SuperDome chief executive David Humphreys told The Age.
According to Humphreys, the deal would eventually allow people to watch live and pre-packaged entertainment from the stadium using Viv, an entertainment technology made by Intel.
"One of our plans through this sponsorship is to deliver live and pre-packaged entertainment from the Acer Arena directly to people's homes, thereby delivering premium content to the consumer," he said.
