LAS VEGAS (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Casino-proprietor George Maloof gave residents of Las Vegas a preview of a new "one-of-a-kind" concert facility that is under construction at the Palms. In an online interview with two local journalists, Steve Freiss and Miles Smith, Maloof told TheStripPodcast.com that the new venue would open in February, 2007 and that it would be a "very very sexy, hot venue."
The concert facility will be located at the Palms, and will have 2,500 seats, VIP areas, bars and other concessions. The venue will be geared at the upscale concert market, gearing up to compete with the Hard Rock, HOB and other well-appointed Las Vegas performance spaces.
New York firm SIA Acoustics has been reportedly retained to design the audio system. Their portfolio includes venues such as Carnegie Hall and Jazz At Lincoln Center. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
