(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Ticketmaster has entered a partnership agreement with travel company Japan Travel Bureau to give Japanese consumers access to US event tickets.
Beginning in December, JTB will replicate and translate select Ticketmaster web pages into Japanese, including those for concerts, Broadway musicals, sports and Las Vegas events. Japanese consumers will be able to purchase tickets directly off of the sites.
Call centers and retail locations for U.S. ticket purchases in Japan are also expected to come out of the partnership deal, according to a press release.
Both Ticketmaster and JTB expressed their interest in the deal was to help increase Japanese tourism to the United States. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
