Two Regional Entertainment Companies Merge

MEMPHIS, TN (CelebrityAccess News Service) – Two regional entertainment companies, National Talent LLC and Mustang Productions, have merged to become Resource Entertainment Group. The new company blends the expertise of Paul Chandler, Howard Stovall, and Rollin Riggs and will represent entertainers as well as the region’s finest venues.

“Our unique combination of local and national entertainment experience allows us to offer a range of services for clients that no other company in the region can provide,” Howard Stovall said. “We plan to utilize our experience in local and national venues to develop exciting events for our clients.”

Resource has secured deals to represent the W.C. Handy Performing Arts Park on Beale Street, Bonne Terre Country Inn and Corporate Campus in Nesbit, MS, the Germantown Centre, the Cadre Building, the Madison Hotel, among others. The company also represents such well-known area bands as The Venus Mission, The After Dark Band, Ruby Wilson, Elmo & the Shades, The Dempseys, Free Sol, and many others.

National Talent, owned by Chandler and Stovall, is best known for booking the Memphis Botanic Garden’s “Live at the Garden” concert series since 2002. They have worked with renowned entertainers such as Ray Charles, Lyle Lovett, Roberta Flack, and Wynonna. Mustang Productions, owned by Rollin Riggs, has booked hundreds of local events since 1997-weddings, corporate parties, casino entertainment, etc. Riggs has managed local party bands The Bouffants and The Venus Mission and has worked with dozens of area bands since 1997.

“Howard and Paul have considerable experience booking national entertainment and creating large-scale concert series,” Riggs explained. “I have expertise promoting local entertainment and finding the right band at the right price for Mid-South events. Our knowledge is very complementary. Adding representation of prestigious venues to the mix means that we will do some exciting things together.”

Resource Entertainment Group’s web site http://www.REGMemphis.com will allow people to research and book both bands and venues with a few mouse clicks. In addition, the site will contain news and information on area concerts, festivals, and events that Resource handles, such as the Sunset Atop the Madison concert series beginning April 1, and the Evening Notes concerts in Germantown this summer.

“These are exciting times for the Memphis music industry. Recent actions to develop entertainment by our corporate and civic leaders indicate that the timing is right for a company like Resource Entertainment Group,” Paul Chandler said. “We have valuable knowledge of this market, major national and regional contacts, and solid reputations. It’s a recipe for success. I’m thrilled.”
