STROUDSBURG, PA (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — 30 bands and no hippies, at least that's what East Coast Independent, who are organizing the weekend festival, along with Stroudsburg's Sherman Theater are proclaiming. The inaugural festival is set to open on Saturday, October 14.
With a ticket price of 22 dollars, the Waidestock festival is geared towards the Vans Warped Tour demographic, featuring national and regional modern rock acts on three different stages along with a large variety of vendors and other attractions. 3,000 people are expected to attend the Poconos event.
East Coast Independent is no babe in the woodlands in regards to putting together a successful festival. They run the East Coast Independent stage at the Vans Warped Tour.
"It's going to be awesome, It's probably going to be the biggest rock concert to ever happen in the Poconos. We're expecting 2,000 to 3,000 people, probably closer to the 3,000 mark." East Coast Independent's Zach to DC/EC, adding "There has been an overwhelming amount of demand from the youth audience and the young-adult audience, and even the parent audience, to have things like this start coming into the Poconos, Warped Tour and other festivals like that pass the Poconos in their route. They go to Scranton, and they might go to Allentown, but they don't come here." – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
