NEW PLYMOUTH, NZ (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Irish pop group Westlife had a warm welcome when they arrived in New Zealand but suffered a setback as a truck and trailer carrying some gear to one of their gigs crashed, leaving the driver seriously injured.
The truck, en-route to a gig at the TSB Stadium, rolled over in heavy fog near Pio Pio at approximately 4 AM. The crash didn't delay the sold out concert, the Taranaki Daily News reported.
The band had arrived in New Plymouth where they weer welcomed by the Mayor there, Peter Tennant and were presented with a ceremonial Haka dance and took the opportunity to offer their best wishes for the injured driver. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
