Carise Yatter has been named vice president, Media & Artist Relations for Razor & Tie Entertainment, based at the company's headquarters in New York City. "Carise is an aggressive and smart publicist who understands the growing complexities of media," said Razor & Tie Senior Vice President, Marketing, Michael Krumper, to whom Yatter will report, "and has the kind of versatility needed for the diverse range of projects that we have here at Razor & Tie. She's a great fit, and we are happy to have her onboard." Yatter was most recently vice president, Media Relations for Artemis Records.
Yatter began her career as publicity assistant at RCA Records in 1994. In 1995, she joined Atlantic Records as media relations assistant. In 1996, Yatter left the music industry to study classical voice privately and at the Manhattan School of Music. Three years later, in 1999, she returned to the music industry and to her old post at Atlantic Records.
In 2000, Yatter was upped to tour publicist at Atlantic Records and later that year was named manager, Tour Media. In 2001, she was promoted to associate director, National Tour Media Relations.
