Your Phone Is 'Just The Ticket' With Rogers And Live Nation

TORONTO (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) – Let the music play, Canada. Rogers Wireless, in association with Live Nation, today launched its exclusive Wireless Box Office a Canadian first allowing a cellphone to become a wireless ticket to select Live Nation concerts across Canada. For the first time ever, Canadian music lovers can use wireless ticketing technology to buy tickets and get into top concerts like Simple Plan directly through their handset. The cellphone is literally and figuratively the ticket.

Wireless Box Office is the result of a larger exclusive arrangement between Rogers Wireless and Live Nation which offers access to some of the hottest concerts and tours in Canada, some exclusive to Rogers Wireless customers. To announce Wireless Box Office, Rogers is sponsoring the upcoming Simple Plan tour and starting today Rogers customers have the exclusive opportunity to be the first to purchase tickets to Simple Plan through Wireless Box Office.

"Rogers Wireless is synonymous with youth and music, offering the latest innovations today's youth want in mobile music," says John Boynton, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Rogers Wireless. "We are very excited to offer our customers access to some of the hottest live music performances on earth, exclusive engagements and access privileges right from your phone."

Wireless Box Office – How it Works

Wireless Box Office is supported on all Rogers handsets with a WAP 2.0 Browser and MMS capability. Through Live Nation Member Ticketing, Rogers customers can easily browse and purchase preferred concert tickets:

1) Launch the phone's mobile Internet browser and select "Music & Tones"
2) Select "Wireless Box Office" and find a concert
3) Select the number of tickets, input credit card info and a wireless
ticket will be delivered right to the phone as a text (SMS) and
multimedia message (MMS)
4) Simply show that ticket on the handset at the concert to get Rogers
VIP treatment

Rogers Box Office ticket holders will have VIP venue access through a special entry line designated just for Rogers customers. A barcode embedded in the wireless ticket is scanned for venue entry.

Rogers Wireless is the destination for music on the go. Wireless Box Office offers Canadians the best live access to today's top music acts – available exclusively through Rogers Wireless. In addition to Wireless Box Office, customers can also access streaming clips from Live Nation concerts, such as Hedley and OneRepublic, directly on their Rogers Vision device.

As part of its exclusive relationship with Live Nation, Rogers will sponsor the Molson Amphitheatre for 10 concerts in Toronto and the Commodore Ballroom for 50 concerts in Vancouver. Rogers Wireless has also partnered with MTV Canada to host music events at the Masonic Temple in Toronto and sponsor MTV's "The Leak". – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
