(CelebrityAccess) – BMG has announced an exclusive worldwide publishing deal with Sir Ringo Starr.
Alongside future compositions, the deal encompasses over 150 titles including contributions Starr made to music written and recorded by The Beatles.
Included under those terms are songs such as, “What Goes On” (Rubber Soul), “Flying” (Magical Mystery Tour), “Don’t Pass Me By” (The Beatles aka “White Album”), “Octopus’s Garden” (Abbey Road), “Dig It” and “Maggie Mae” (Let It Be), and a number of other Beatles rarities.
Starr’s solo catalog includes 19 studio albums.
Of the signing, BMG CEO Hartwig Masuch has said: “Ringo Starr is a contemporary artist with an incredible history, and BMG is exceptionally proud that he has chosen us to represent his past and future songs.”
Starr is currently scheduled to tour later this year alongside a new version of his All Starr Band.
