NASHVILLE, TN (CelebrityAccess) — Downtown Music Publishing doubled their footprint in Nashville, with the hiring of four new staffers at the office.
Matt Turner has been hired as Senior Director of A&R for the office, with oversight of writing sessions and opportunities for the publisher’s roster of Nashville clients. He’ll also oversee song placements as well as signing and developing songwriting talent.
He previously toiled at Big Loud Publishing for 5 years and ole Nashville for 6 1/2 years, where he oversaw the release of hit singles by the likes of Blake Shelton, Justin Moore, and Kenny Chesney.
“We are so excited to have Matt Turner at Downtown Nashville,” said Steve Markland, Senior VP of A&R, Nashville. ” Matt brings very valuable and rich experience from his time at Big Loud Music. He is a champion of writers and will add a fantastic balance to our team.”
Other hires at the Nashville office include Garrett Stephenson, who was named Office Coordinator, Caylan Hays as an assistant in Sync Licensing and Kyle Coker, who will assist with copyrights.
In addition to the new hires, Downtown announced that several current staffers at the Nashville office have been promoted.
Natalie Osborne was upped to the lofty post of Director of A&R, Nashville. She’s been with the company since 2015, first joining as a Creative Coordinator/Administrative Assistant and in 2017 was promoted to Creative Manager.
Katie Roth has also been promoted and joins the A&R staff as a Creative Coordinator, the company said.
