STOCKHOLM, Sweden (CelebrityAccess) — Swedish post-punk rockers The Hives announced a trio of rare North American performances in early 2018.
The band is lined up to perform at the Pa’l Norte Festival in Monterrey, Mexico in March, Punk Rock Bowling & Music Festival in Las Vegas in May, and for the inaugural Sonic Temple Art + Music Festival in Columbus, Ohio, which is also set for May.
The shows will be the first US performances since 2016 when they played at Riot Fest in Chicago, and the first thing even approaching a tour since the band’s 2012 North American tour.
While the Hives have not released new material since 2015 (and then it was only a single) they have recently teased that they are back in the studio again.
However, as of yet, no word on when fans can expect a new album on their favorite streaming service.
