(CelebrityAccess) – Silent Giant Entertainment CEO and founder Edward “E-Dub” Rios and Julie “Jules” Vasquez have announced a new label called Joyas Musicales (Musical Jewels), reports Billboard.
Aimed at developing new Latin acts with an emphasis on regional Mexican artists, the label hopes to discover unknown “musical gems” by providing them a platform upon which to make music.
Vasquez, who formerly served as executive assistant to famed Mexican American singer, songwriter, actress and producer Jenni Rivera up to her death in 2012, will serve as the label’s creative director and oversee the signing and development of new acts.
Latin urban vocalist Vinny Uno, R&B singer Farinas, and singer Jessica Ballesteros have already signed to the label’s roster.
