Prankster Gets Mickey Rourke / Axl Rose Photo Onto Canadian Local News

NEWFOUNDLAND, Canada (CelebrityAccess) Apparently, a producer at a local news channel in Newfoundland, Canada, wasn’t aware of the recent meme depicting actor Mickey Rourke and Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose as a married couple.

A photo of the two, snapped at a recent Los Angeles boxing match, has become an online joke with the tagline something along the line of an old lesbian couple that runs a book store.

This time, they turned up as a couple named Max and Geraldine Bailey, celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary, during the nightly news closing segment of, apparently, CJON-DT, or NTV, headquartered in St. John’s Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.

“Those are the Newfiest old names ever,” said one Redditor on a thread about the prank. “It really was genius, perfect name camouflage is what allowed this to happen!”

Not only are they the “Newfiest” names, but Bailey happens to be the real-life last name of Axl Rose (his birth name, William Bruce Rose, was changed to William Bruce Bailey, when Rose’s mother remarried to Stephen L. Bailey).
