NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) – Concord Music Publishing has announced a global publishing deal with Jordan Young, aka DJ Swivel, and his publishing company, Waves With Words.
The new deal is effective immediately and covers DJ Swivel’s full catalog and future works, as well as the works of songwriters signed to Waves With Words.
DJ Swivel began his career working with artists including Jay-Z, Diddy, Pharrell, Britney Spears, and Fabolous. He went on to work with Beyoncé, recording and mixing her album 4, which won a GRAMMY in 2012 for Best Traditional R&B Performance for the song “Love On Top.” He then went on to collaborate with The Chainsmokers on their EP, Collage. The duo’s song “Don’t Let Me Down” won the GRAMMY for Best Dance Recording in 2017. More recently, DJ Swivel has written a string of hits for K-Pop superstars BTS including “Heartbeat,” “Love Maze” and “Euphoria,” collaborating on their last three albums, all of which debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Additionally, his work as producer and mixer has seen him collaborate with artists including Lil Nas X, Dua Lipa, Big Sean, Cardi B, Coldplay, Wiz Khalifa, and others.
