SOMERSET, ENGLAND (CelebrityAccess) – After rocker Neil Young announced that he and his band, The Chrome Hearts, would be headlining the 2025 Glastonbury Festival, he made an about-face and released a statement saying he WILL be headlining the festival now and that he received an “error in information.”

“Happily, the festival is now back on our itinerary, and we look forward to playing! Hope to see you there!” he wrote. He did not explain what the “error” was.

SOMERSET, ENGLAND (CelebrityAccess) – Neil Young has announced that he and his band, The Chrome Hearts, will not perform at this year’s Glastonbury Festival. In a statement on his official website, Young expressed his disappointment, stating that the festival’s partnership with the BBC has led to a “corporate turn-off” that no longer aligns with his values.

“We will not be playing Glastonbury on this tour because it is a corporate turn-off and not for me like it used to be.” He continues writing, “Hope to see you at one of the other venues on the tour.”

The 79-year-old rock legend had been scheduled to perform at the iconic festival, which is set to take place from June 25 to June 29, 2025, at Worthy Farm in Somerset, England. Young’s decision to withdraw has started discussions about the evolving nature of festivals and their relationships with corporations.

Glastonbury, one of the UK’s largest and most renowned music festivals, has been a significant part of the music scene for decades. The 2025 event has already sold out, with fans eagerly awaiting the lineup. While Young’s withdrawal is a notable change, the festival continues to attract a diverse array of artists.
