Adele Expands First Australian Tour To Meet Demand

MELBOURNE (CelebrityAccess) — Adele has announced that she is expanding her upcoming Australian tour due to strong demand.

On Monday, Live Nation added a second show at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne after tickets for the first show disappeared in just 35 minutes. Dates have also been added at Gabba Stadium in Brisbane after tickets sold out at a similar pace.

This will be Adele's fist visit to the South Pacific nation. The seven show outing kicks off on Feb. 28 at Domain Stadium in Perth and now, with the additional dates, wraps up on March 19 at Etihad Stadium.

She announced the tour plans with a handwritten note posted to her Twitter account, saying:

“G’Day it’s me… I was wondering if after 10 years in the game you’d finally like to meet me in Brisbane, Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, and Adelaide? Yep! I am coming Down Under. In the round, outdoors and upgrading myself to stadiums to make sure I get to see as many of you as possible. I can't wait.” – Staff Writers
