AEG Live Teams With Poway PAC

SAN DIEGO (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — AEG Live has teamed up with the Poway Center for the Performing Arts to help the PAC broaden their focus to bring more professional touring artists to the community-oriented theatre.

The Poway Center has been booked since it opened in 1990 by The Poway Center for the Performing Arts Foundation, or POW!. Since opening, the 800 capacity theatre has been a home for local theatre groups, touring theatrical productions and the occasional touring artist but AEG is looking to shake up that dynamic and already has a busy fall lineup planned for the PAC.

AEG Live's kicking off their partnership at the PAC with a performance by Judy Collins and Leo Kottke. Also booked for performances this fall are Kris Kristofferson, fiddle virtuoso Natalie McMaster, Roger McGuinn & John Sebastian, Los Lobos' David Hidalgo & Louis Perez and roadway star Ken Page.

AEG is already a major player in the San Diego market and the also operate or book a number of other venues in the region, including Qualcomm Stadium, The San Diego Sports Arena, and 4th & B among others.

"AEG Live’s clout in the talent market place will enable the Foundation to bring intelligent entertainers like Judy Collins to Poway that we could not afford to book on our own. Our new partnership arrangement is unprecedented and represents a match made in heaven." said Poway executive director Henry Korn in a statement. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
