OCEANPORT, N.J. (CelebrityAccess) — AEG Live has signed a deal with The Thoroughbred Management and Monmouth Park to exclusively book a new 7,500-seat, outdoor concert venue that is expected to open for business in 2015.
The multi-year deal between AEG and The Thoroughbred Management – led by industry veteran Jerry Bakal – will see AEG staging shows at the venue during the summer concert season. The venue is part of a planned Monmouth Park entertainment complex that is slated to include a boardwalk, restaurant and Bluegrass Miniature Golf Course, which opened in 2012.
Once completed, the amphitheater will have approximately 3,500 covered seats along with a lawn seating that can accommodate an additional 4,000 patrons.
