Agent Fred Lawrence Dies At 68


LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Veteran agent Fred Lawrence, who repped performers such as Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons and the Everly Brothers has died of a heart attack. He was 68.

Lawrence got his start in the industry at several Miami agencies, including Headline Artists and Creative Management Agency's Miami Beach office before making the transition to the west coast.

In mid-1980s, Lawrence launched his own shop, Fred Lawrence Associates which repped numerous clients, including the Manhattan Transfer and Paul Revere & The Raiders. In 1990, he sold his firm to ICM and went to work for them as the head of their Adult Contemporary Music division, however, deterioating health forced him to take a less active role after 1998.

Lawrence passed on his 68th birthday after suffering a heart attack at St. Joseph's Hospital in Burbank his publicist said.

Lawrence is survived by his sister, brother-in-law and a nephew. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
