Country Stars Get Second Job

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Country singers Cledus T. Judd and Chad Brock have given up the musician’s right to sleep in, by signing a multi-year agreement with Tampa Bay, Florida’s WQYK-FM to host their 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. morning show each weekday morning.

“It’s really exciting to have two such well-known and well-loved country artists hosting morning for us, Mike Culotta, the stations operations manager/program director told the Tampa Bay Business Journal.

Judd is known for his parody songs, including “I Love NASCAR” (a spoof of Toby Keith’s “I Love This Bar”) and “Paycheck Woman” (in response to Gretchen Wilson’s “Redneck Woman”). He has sold more than 2 million albums, and is also popular as a stand-up comedian at concerts and comedy clubs.

Chad Brock, a native of the area, is known for his top five hits “Ordinary Life” and “Yes!”

Both artists will continue their recording and performing careers as well. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
