Cracked Beam Forces Magic City To Reschedule Shows

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — A faulty ceiling truss at Magic City Music Hall in Johnson City, New York, has forced owners David Armstrong and Stuart Green to close down for the month of September and reschedule or cancel all planned shows.

The 1,350-capacity venue was forced to reschedule performances by The Chippendales, to February 11th, and Blue Oyster Cult, to December 2nd. The Ska is Dead 3 tour, which was scheduled for September 21st, was moved to The Haunt in Ithaca, New York, according to the Press & Sun Bulletin.

Prior to discovering the damage, the venue had put on shows in recent days including REO Speedwagon, Rusted Root, Billy Idol, and Hootie & The Blowfish.

The venue expects to be finished with construction and fully operational by mid-October. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
