NEW YORK (VIP NEWS) — Rumors about the legendary singer's health have been circulating since he underwent heart surgery following his 2004 tour. He is rarely seen in public, but was spotted picking up lunch from the Italian Bottega Falai Café in New York, The Telegraph reports.
He attended the opening of his son Duncan Jones' film Moon in 2009 but has made few public appearances since.
He did, however, break his silence to speak about a forthcoming retrospective of his costumes at London's Victoria & Albert Museum.
The Observer reported that the singer would co-curate an exhibition of his life and work told through his extravagant costumes next year.
However, Bowie denied that he would be involved in the project. "Contrary to recently published reports relating to the announcement by the V&A of an upcoming David Bowie Exhibition, I am not a co-curator and did not participate in any decisions relating to the exhibition," he wrote on his Facebook page.
Responding to further reports in The Mirror that he had fallen out with the V&A's curators, he joked: "The David Bowie Archive gave unprecedented access to the V&A and [the] museum's curators have made all curatorial and design choices. A close friend of mine tells me that I am neither 'devastated', 'heartbroken' nor 'uncontrollably furious' by this news item."
