ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Garbage was performing at the House of Blues in Atlantic City when the band's frontwoman Shirley Manson took exception to a man who was apparently beating up a women in the front row.
In a YouTube video of the incident, the band is playing their 1996 hit "Stupid Girl" when Manson spots the alleged assault. She has them cut the music and addresses the alleged attacker, yelling from stage, "Get the fuck off her – right now. Dude, never hit a fucking woman. What the fuck is wrong with you man?"
Then, seeming to regain her composure, Manson tells the audience, "OK, we're going to try that one again. Oh shit, you're getting all racy in here. What the f**k is going on Atlantic city?"
"We're going to have like five people to play to by the end of the show," Manson added. "You're fighting baby, you gotta leave now. You can't fucking fight man. You can't fight. I'm sorry, that's the rules man. We just need to all simmer down."
