LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — David Gest, producer, entertainer and reality show star, died at the Four Seasons hotel in London. He was 62.
According to the BBC, Gest's friend and ex-bodyguard Imad Handi confirmed the news in a statement. The cause of death was not disclosed.
Gest, formerly married to entertainer Liza Minelli is best known for producing Michael Jackson's 30th Anniversary Celebration, a 2001 television special which became one of highest-rated televised events in US music history – 2001's : 30th Anniversary Celebration.
Gest, who has recently appeared on a variety of reality shows, including ''m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and Celebrity Big Brother, was due to tour the UK in July with his David Gest Is Not Dead But Alive With Soul Tour!
According to the BBC, several singers were due to appear on the tour, including Dina Carroll and Freda Payne. – Staff Writers
