USA: "It's hard; It doesn't work for me anymore. I will leave the door open for a couple of projects." These were the surprising words from the world-renowned rock veteran, Eric Clapton, who is playing his last concerts. Clapton is currently touring in the U.S, playing the songs from his latest album Reptile. This tour will unfortunately be his last. However, this doesn1t mean that Clapton will stop playing music all together.
"I will always want to express something. But I don't need to do it like this anymore."
Clapton, who has two albums left in his contract with Warner Brothers, still plans to record.
According to the magazine Rolling Stone, he claims to have two projects in mind. One of them is working in collaboration with the Impressions, whom he first worked with at the funeral of their front man Curtis Mayfield in late 1999 and who backed him on several tracks on his latest album, Reptile. Eric Clapton is also planning an album of soulful rock blues, like an old Tony Joe White record.
