Fleckenstein Appointed SVP Of International Zomba Group

John Fleckenstein has been appointed senior vice president of International Zomba Group and will oversee all international marketing efforts as well as heading up the International Department for The Zomba Label Group.

Prior to joining Zomba, Fleckenstein served as vice president of global marketing. In this role, he helped implement the new Priority System and worked closely with key international repertoire owners in creating global superstars. He started his career at SONY BMG in 1998 at Arista Records in the International Department. During his tenure at Arista, his key projects included Whitney Houston's My Love Is Your Love, TLC's Fanmail and Santana's Supernatural. In 2001, he left Arista records for the opportunity to lead the marketing department of BMG's Asia Pacific Regional Office, based in Sydney, Australia. As senior director, marketing and promotion, Fleckenstein and his team oversaw many successful campaigns in the region by Avril Lavigne, Christina Aguilera, The Foo Fighters and Pink as well as strategic marketing releases such as Elvis #1s project.

Prior to joining Sony BMG, John held various roles inside and outside the music industry including college radio promotion for Ruff House Records in Philadelphia.
