LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Garbage, The Martinis (featuring Joey Santiago and David Lovering of the Pixies), Bonnie Raitt and Keb’ Mo’ are among the artists lined up for a benefit concert to aid drummer Wally Ingram.
“Beat It Wally” is set to take place on January 31st at Los Angeles’ Alex Theatre, with all proceeds going towards Ingram’s fight against throat cancer. The benefit will also feature Victoria Williams and Freedy Johnston among others.
Ingram, who rose to rock prominence for his work with Timbuk 3, has worked with many artists throughout his career, including David Lindley, Sheryl Crow, Jackson Browne, Crowded House, Art Garfunkel, Tracy Chapman, Taj Mahal and Eric Burdon.
A few “surprise guests” are also slated for the bill, and maybe include some of his previous collaborators. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
