LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Jimmy Fallon and The Tonight Show aroused the ire of singer/songwriter Glenn Shorrock, one of the founding members of the Little River Band after they booked the most recent configuration of the soft rock legacy group for the show.
The current Little River Band, featuring none of the founding members of the group, had been set to perform a Jan 12th show to mark the 40th anniversary of the original band. In response to the booking, Shorrock told the Sydney Morning Herald that:
“If [The Tonight Show] do decide to put [the band] on the show just pass on my message to go f— yourselves,” Shorrock said. Shorrock also accused the current version of the LRB of “grinding our good name into dust,” according to the Herald.
The performance was subsequently pulled and the LRB was replaced with former Hootie and the Blowfish singer, Darius Rucker. – Staff Writers
