Glens Falls Metal Concert Ends In Arrests

GLENS FALLS, NY (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The Red, Black and Blue Festival, a heavy metal affair featuring headliners Killswitch Engage and Sevendust at the city’s Glens Falls Civic Center, ended in a series of arrests on February 22nd.

As the 3000-capacity crowd exited the venue, police made 12 arrests, after patrolling the parking lots in an effort to root out underage drinking.

The Post-Star reports that four people were charged with underage drinking, five with having an open container in public, one for public urination, and one for drunken driving.

One concert attendee who refused to leave the Civic Center parking lot was subdued with a Taser gun after he fought police officers who were trying to arrest him for disorderly conduct. He was also charged with a misdemeanor for resisting arrest.

The Red, Black and Blue festival also included Invitro, Diecast, Chimaira, and Dragonforce. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
