The Roots, Wolfmother, Drive-By Truckers To Headline Rites Of Spring Festival


NASHVILLE, TN (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Vanderbilt University will once again provide its students and community with the area’s most anticipated weekend concert when the Rites of Spring Music Festival kicks off on Friday, April 20th and Saturday, April 21st.

The Rites of Spring, produced by Marcie Allen Caldwell of MAC Presents, will feature live hip-hop pioneers The Roots, hard rockers Wolfmother, and Southern rockers Drive-By Truckers. Other artists slated to appear include Keller Williams, Mat Kearney, The Whigs, Brett Dennen, The Dynamites, JYPSI, Amos Lee, Rocco DeLuca and the Burden, BANG BANG BANG and Naughty By Nature.

“We are so pleased to be able to bring such fantastic music to the Rites of Spring Music Festival every year,” Candelyn Cook, Senior Director for Student Services at Vanderbilt said in a statement. “Whether it’s rock or hip-hop, we strive to bring the students at Vanderbilt the top artists in music.”

Tickets for the festival go on sale to students and the public on March 3rd at 10 a.m., including $25 day passes and $40 weekend passes. The Rites of Spring Music Festival has been a university tradition for over 30 years. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
