NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Alt-Rock band R.E.M. has joined the lineup for a concert held to benefit the Tibet House. The concert, planned for Feb. 26 at Carnegie Hall in New York will feature performances by Philip Glass, Lou Reed, Sigur Ros, Trey Anastasio, Shawn Colvin, Cibo Matto, Patti Smith and others.
The Tibet House is a center for Tibetan culture and art. A portion of the proceeds will go to the local Tibetan group, Tibetan Association of New York and New Jersey and a portion of the concert proceeds will go to Farm Aid and the Karin Berg Fund for the Myositis Support Group
